Study summary
This research aimed to analyze the main methodologies and tools of foresight planning as instruments to anticipate change, reduce uncertainty and strengthen strategic decision-making. The study made it possible to understand that foresight does not seek to predict the future, but to build possible and desirable scenarios through the systematic analysis of trends, actors, variables and uncertainties.
It also concludes that methodologies such as structural analysis, scenario building, the Delphi method and actor analysis are fundamental tools for designing flexible, adaptive and long-term-oriented strategies. In a context of growing complexity and uncertainty, foresight planning is consolidated as an indispensable approach to guide public policy and management processes with a strategic and sustainable vision.
